Annual Report

This report is the product of Coe’s closest friends. Your support makes a significant, positive difference on the Coe campus every day, and on behalf of all who love our college, I am deeply grateful.I think you will be interested in the timeline included in the report. As you review the college’s progress, you will get a sense of the positive momentum that is felt throughout the Coe community—new programs, new facilities, and best of all, new students for our faculty to mentor. We are keenly aware that this would not be possible without your generosity, including your support of the Coe Fund. The steady, dependable support of annual donors is essential to our core mission: first-rate academic programs taught in a supportive residential environment, based on close personal relationships. This kind of teaching and learning is most effective in settings like Coe, and we never lose sight of the fact that we could not do it without your annual gifts. You may
have heard about some other major changes on the horizon, including the Make Your Move campaign, which will include comprehensive renovations and additions to Hickok Hall and to Coe’s athletic and recreation spaces. With the help of many alumni and friends, we plan to begin these projects in the spring of 2016. When they are completed they will be among the top facilities in the Midwest, which will enhance our ability for face-to-face teaching and coaching—something that is still in high demand among prospective students and can only take place on a residential campus. In addition to these long-awaited facilities projects, continue to watch for news on the upcoming strategic plan. The plan will include new and enhanced academic programs that draw on Coe’s distinctive blend of traditional liberal arts and professional preparation for our students and graduates. Coe is on the move, and all of these new initiatives will ensure that everyone takes notice. It’s an exciting time to be at Coe, and I thank you once again for everything that you do for our college—a new generation of students is prospering because of you.
