The Scope

The Seven Key Components:

New Performance Arena
The new performance arena and competition court will be located to the north of Eby, will hold 2,000 to 2,500 spectators and have a modern configuration where visitors enter in an upper-level concourse.

Fitness Center and Bridge

A key feature of the project is a bridge over College Drive, joining the new Eby addition to Clark Racquet Center, creating a new, comprehensive facility.  This mostly glass bridge will house much of the college's fitness center, as well as providing a stunning visual feature for the Coe community and visitors alike.
Wrestling Room and Façade
This façade will wrap around the southern and eastern faces of the natatorium and join the new performance arena and competition court with the fitness center and bridge, so that from College Drive, the entire project will look like a cohesive whole and will align with existing campus architecture.  This area will feature all new wrestling facilities.

Eby Fieldhouse

All levels of Eby will be renovated as part of this project.  The centerpiece will be the conversion of the current gymnasium and wrestling area into a multi-purpose court for recreational sports and intercollegiate practices.  The facility will include three basketball courts that can be separated by curtains or opened into one large area for throwing, indoor soccer, baseball, and softball practices, and countless other activities.  Locker rooms, classroom space and athletic offices will also be expanded, coupled with new infrastructure, including HVAC, windows, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Clark Racquet Center

The indoor track will require a new surface and curtain layout to allow for full-time use without interfering with tennis.  An elevator, renovated office space and other improvements will enhance this facility.

Clark Field and Stadium

As the first phase of the project, the bleachers have been extended to expand seating and the outdoor track has been resurfaced.

East Campus Field
Coe will build a field suitable for competition soccer (with field turf and lights) that may also be suited to the addition of sports, such as lacrosse and field hockey in the future.
